Veteran reserve guard Bobby Hansen will be placed on the Utah Jazz’s injured reserve list again after he fractured cheekbones at a New Year’s Eve party.
Team spokesman Bill Kreifeldt said doctors confirmed that bones under Hansen’s left eye were broken during an incident of “horseplay” that got out of hand at a party at Hansen’s home.
Hansen had just come off the team’s injured reserve list after recovering from a broken left hand.
