West Hollywood : Permit Parking Approved
The City Council has approved permit parking for a large section of the city’s northwest area, the fifth such preferential parking district in the city.
By a unanimous vote, the five-member council on Tuesday approved the district as recommended by the Transportation Commission, but directed staff to work out an accommodation with two churches whose ministers said they would be adversely affected by the plan.
The new district, which will restrict parking to residents with permits between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., includes portions of about a dozen residential streets in the city’s northwest corner, west of San Vicente Boulevard and north of Vista Grande Street.
