Auburn Women Defeat No. 1 Tennessee

AUBURN, Ala. — Carolyn Jones and Vickie Orr each scored 18 points Friday night as third-ranked Auburn put itself in position to take over the No. 1 spot in women’s basketball with a 67-59 victory over top-ranked Tennessee.
The Tigers (13-0) should be voted No. 1 in next week’s poll because No. 2 Louisiana Tech also lost this week, falling to Colorado, 61-60.
