College Roundup : Chapman Loses at Seattle Pacific

Rog Middleton scored a game-high 35 points, but it wasn’t enough as Chapman College fell to Seattle Pacific, 92-82, in a nonconference game Saturday night in Seattle.
Jackie Johnson had 18 points, Twayne Rawls and Dennis Barmore 16 and Duke Wood 15 for Seattle Pacific (10-2).
Chapman, which trailed, 42-33, at halftime, is 7-6.
In the Occidental tournament:
Southern California College 132, Christ College Irvine 67--Southern California College had four players score 20 points or more to win the consolation game.
Jeff Bickmore had 29 points and 10 rebounds to lead SCC (11-2). Terry Scruggs had 27, Todd Dixon 24 and 10 assists and Jim Mansfield 22 for the Vanguards.
Christ College Irvine (4-10) was led by Mike Thompson’s 12 points and Aaron Clasen’s 11. Albert Gay added 10 for Christ College Irvine.
SCC led, 70-31, at halftime.
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Grand Canyon 76, Chapman 72--Shannon Mustin and Cindy Kinderknecht each had 23 points to lead Grand Canyon (11-5) at Chapman.
