Boat With 193 Haitians Halted on Way to Florida

MIAMI — The U. S. Coast Guard intercepted a 35-foot sailboat carrying 193 Haitians about 550 miles southeast of Miami, a spokesman for the service said Monday.
Petty Officer Luis Diaz said that when the boat was boarded Sunday, Coast Guard crewmen found three of the passengers unconscious and revived them. He said the refugees would be returned to Port au Prince.
