Prince Charles Will Visit Site of Pan Am 747 Crash

LONDON — Prince Charles will visit the Scottish town of Lockerbie where a Pan American Boeing 747 crashed last month, killing 270 people, Buckingham Palace said Thursday.
His decision to make the visit on Jan. 24 follows controversy over the absence of any member of the Royal Family at a memorial service for the victims of Britain’s worst air disaster.
