IN BRIEF : Ex-Bullet Convicted in Drug Case

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — Former Washington Bullets forward Carlos Terry was convicted of drug distribution and conspiracy charges by a Prince George’s County jury for his role in what was termed a multimillion-dollar drug operation by authorities.
Terry, 32, played three seasons with Washington in the early 1980s and was convicted Thursday after being charged following an 18-month investigation by county police into a cocaine distribution ring prosecutors said stretched from Maryland to South Carolina.
He was found guilty on two counts of cocaine distribution and one count of conspiracy.
