Ray Tellier, football coach at Rochester for the last five years, is expected to be hired as Columbia’s fourth coach in the last six years.
Columbia broke a 44-game losing streak and had a 2-8 record last year, its best since 1978, but Larry McElreavy resigned as the head coach when one of his assistants accused him of drunkenness and other misconduct. Tellier, 37, led Rochester to a 21-26-1 record.
