BELGRADE, Yugoslavia — The widow of former President Josip Broz Tito has lost an appeal for revision of a court ruling against her inheritance, a press report said Saturday.
The Belgrade newspaper Vecernje Novosti said the Supreme Court of the republic of Serbia rejected her demand for revision of a 1986 Belgrade court ruling that all of Tito’s estate is state property.
Tito died in 1980. His wife filed suit in 1985 to gain from Tito’s estate what she contended were her personal belongings, such as paintings, books, furs, jewelry and furniture.
