In response to “How Seattle Grew Up to Its Scenery,” Part I, Jan. 5:
Having just read your article proclaiming Seattle the “hub of a booming Pacific Northwest,” I was amused to read in our local Seattle newspaper recently that:
“Bankruptcy filings continue to set records in Seattle, home to one of the busiest U.S. Bankruptcy Courts in the nation.”
In short, if you must mention the boom then please don’t forget the bust.
