Kearny, Oceanside Break Into Top 10

SAN DIEGO — Kearny and Oceanside high schools gained spots in The Times’ San Diego County boys’ high school basketball poll for the first time as Point Loma and Patrick Henry fell out of the rankings after suffering Friday night losses.
Kearny is ranked ninth and Oceanside 10th.
Torrey Pines, Poway, Lincoln and Valhalla continue to roll along in the top four spots.
Sweetwater and Southwest both moved up one notch to fifth and seventh, respectively.
Crawford made the biggest leap in the rankings, moving from 10th to sixth place. La Jolla dropped three spots to eighth.
In the girls’ rankings, the top three places remained intact, but Poway dropped four spots and Lincoln moved into the top 10.
