Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : Water Office to Flush Mains Over 2 Months

A citywide program to flush out all of the water mains over the next 2 months may result in a discoloration of the water, but officials say the condition is temporary and harmless.
Beginning this month, city officials said, the Huntington Beach water office will begin the line flushing, which is a required maintenance for water systems in order to improve water distribution.
If discoloration of the water continues for more than 2 days, however, property owners are advised to contact the Huntington Beach water office at (714) 536-5921.
