Mentor Discloses Purchase

Mentor Corp. of Santa Barbara said it has agreed to acquire the domestic and international rights to Fibrel, a scar repair product, from the Ares-Serono Group. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Ares-Serono is a pharmaceutical company with offices in Boston and Geneva.
