With the Oscar frenzy about to begin and with an eye toward predesigning a piece of Oscar trivia for future generations, I hereby recommend for the Academy’s consideration the following best-actor nominees: Hackman, Hoffman, Hanks, Hoskins and Hurt. I hope history happens.
