Acting on a tip from Hong Kong customs officials, law enforcement authorities Friday arrested four men who allegedly shipped $2.5 million in heroin to an Anaheim business, police said.
Anaheim officers, with U.S. Drug Enforcement and U.S. Customs agents, identified the shipment as a large quantity of China White heroin and began following a suspect upon the shipment’s arrival, Anaheim Sgt. Frederick Roush said.
The suspect and three other men were arrested in Cerritos on suspicion of importing heroin.
They were identified as Samphan Sampasneetamrong, 40, of Paramount, and Damrongpol Panumas, 40, Somsak Krianekpinit, 38, and Aphiwat Kornwilawan, 42, all of Alhambra.
They were taken to Anaheim City Jail, where bail was set at $500,000 each.
Police said more arrests are expected in Hong Kong and Thailand.
