Two Irvine accounting firms that were part of a trade magazine’s Top 50 mid-size firms nationwide were not ranked individually within that group.
Corbin & Wertz said it was eighth on the list compiled by CPA Digest, a trade publication that compiles its Top 50 list from such factors as growth, client service, personnel management and community service.
But information provided by Yoder, Kushner & Co., the other Irvine firm, shows that the publication simply listed the best 50 firms in alphabetical order and did not rank them individually. In the listing, the Yoder firm was known as Hansen, Kushner & Co.
