Ulster Rapist Gets 14 Years

BELFAST, Northern Ireland — A Protesant teen-age rapist who tried to kill his schoolgirl victim because she was a Roman Catholic has been imprisoned for 14 years by a Belfast court. Desmond Doak, 17, told a friend he did not want people to know he had had sex with a Catholic so he plunged a knife into the chest of the 14-year-old girl after he raped her. She survived the attack.
