FT. WORTH — A man accused of biting off part of a woman’s finger before stealing her car was convicted Tuesday of aggravated assault. Jurors deliberated 3 1/2 hours before convicting Ronald Jerome Quiroz, 29.
The victim, a 37-year-old psychologist from a Ft. Worth suburb, testified she had danced with Quiroz at a nightclub last year and allowed him to walk her to her car.
But once in the parking lot, prosecutors said, Quiroz choked and beat her, threatening to rape her and biting off the tip of her left ring finger. The woman fled, and Quiroz drove off in her car, testimony indicated.
