Docks at Lake Henshaw Yield Crappie Bonanza

Fishermen casting minijigs off the docks at Lake Henshaw in San Diego County are catching crappie by the dozens.
Carl and Lee Stockdale of El Cajon teamed to catch 50 of them, and Dave and Pat Gibson, also of El Cajon, quit after reeling in 35.
The fish, according to a lake spokeswoman, are biting on the small jigs “in every color,” and most are weighing in at just under a pound.
