How art is selected for showing at galleries and museums, why some work might be excluded for reasons of content or style and how censorship occurs in the art world is the subject of a panel discussion Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Irvine Fine Arts Center.
“Censorship and Selectivity in the Art World” will be the topic. Scheduled panelists include Josine Ianco-Starrels, curator for the Long Beach Museum of Art, artist George Herms and Carla Fantozzi, educator coordinator for the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery.
