Computer Sciences Corp.’s third-quarter profit rose 16.5% to $12 million on revenue that jumped 20% to $345.4 million from the year-ago period. Officials of the El Segundo company said increases in revenue from federal systems and services and from recent large government contract awards contributed to the results. The firm said operating margins were down slightly, partly due to a decline in profitability in Europe.
