This building was the headquarters of Downey Savings & Loan from 1978 until the financial institution relocated to Bayview Corporate Center in Newport Beach last year. Downey still maintains 42,000 square feet of space in the building, which was designed by the architectural firm of Langdon Wilson & Mumper. Downey sold the building in 1984 to Travelers Insurance Co., Hartford, Conn.
