Bush Adds S. Korea as Stop on Asian Trip

WASHINGTON — President Bush announced today that he will visit South Korea after he attends the funeral of Japanese Emperor Hirohito next month and before visiting Beijing.
After Bush made the announcement at a news conference, White House Press Secretary Marlin Fitzwater said Bush had telephoned South Korean President Roh Tae Woo this morning to accept his invitation to make an official visit to Seoul.
