Weekend TV : 46th Annual Golden Globes to Air Tonight; CBS Observes 10 Years of ‘Sunday Morning’

The show-business awards season kicks off this weekend as the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. hands outs its 46th annual Golden Globes tonight at the Beverly Hilton. Joan Collins and George Hamilton will co-host the broadcast, beginning at 8:05 p.m. on cable superstation TBS.
CBS’ “Sunday Morning” celebrates its 10th anniversary with highlights from previous broadcasts beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Channels 2 and 8. The program will also include a report on endangered species and a visit to a flute convention in San Diego.
“Preparing for Power: The Transition of President Bush” features an inside look at the man and his staff in the days preceding his ascension to the top job in government. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Hedrick Smith reports this one-hour documentary, airing Sunday at 10 p.m. on Channel 28. The program includes interviews with President and Mrs. Bush, White House Chief of Staff John Sununu and former Atty. Gen. Ed Meese.
