Police were looking Friday for three people seen speeding away from near where a newborn boy was found strangled in a trash bin behind a Gardena motel.
The infant was found dead Thursday morning, stuffed into a box and dumped in the trash bin behind the Travelodge motel, Sgt. David Morgan said. A man picking through the trash for aluminum cans found the body of the unidentified child, believed to be Asian or Latino, he said.
Witnesses said they saw three people speeding away from the area in a brown 1977 Chevrolet Nova.
