Entertainment : NBC Wins Ratings Game Again

There was no Super Sunday in the lineup, but NBC still scored a convincing victory in the Nielsen television ratings as it outdistanced second place CBS by four ratings points for the week ended Jan. 29.

The NBC victory, its 32nd in a row, was accomplished almost entirely with regular series programming. In the week before, NBC won easily with its coverage of the Super Bowl. NBC took six places in the Top 10, with its “Cosby Show” first, followed by ABC’s “Roseanne” and NBC’s “A Different World” in third place.
