Cincinnati’s city manager has filed a written reprimand against Police Chief Lawrence Whalen that says Whalen gave evidence of drug use by former Bengals running back Stanley Wilson to the National Football League rather than police.
Whalen, who traveled to Miami with the Bengals to head the team’s security, was involved in an apparent drug investigation on Jan. 21 that resulted in Wilson being suspended from the Super Bowl by the NFL the next day.
