Martina Navratilova fought back from a 3-5 deficit in the final-set tiebreaker and beat Lori McNeil, 6-7, 6-3, 7-6, for the singles title in the Pan Pacific Open tennis tournament at Tokyo.
Navratilova, the No. 2-ranked women’s player in the world, lost the first set tiebreaker, 7-3, but won the final-set tiebreaker, 7-5.
She received $50,000 for the 140th singles title of her career.
