Charles Dillingham, 46, executive director of American Ballet Theatre since 1984, will leave at the end of ABT’s summer season in July “to pursue other interests,” he said Thursday. A lifelong ballet fan, Dillingham was working at the Brooklyn Academy of Music when he was invited to serve as general manager of Ballet Theatre in 1981.
