Congress Votes No on Pay Raise

A letter writer (Feb. 6) suggested settling the congressional pay raise controversy by putting a basket of money by the door of the Capitol and letting each member, as he left, taking out what he felt he was worth that day.
Unfortunately, congressional egos being what they are, there wouldn’t be anything left for the second man leaving.
