Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : Repairman Slain at Home; Suspect Held

The owner of a Garden Grove lawn mower repair shop was found fatally shot in the head outside his house Wednesday morning, Garden Grove police said.
Officers responding to a report of a shooting found Sang Joon Bak, 36, lying on the front seat of a pickup truck parked at his home at 8821 Garden Grove Blvd., where he also operated Bak’s Lawn Mower Service, Police Sgt. Douglas Morrill said.
Bak had been shot once with a revolver, which was found at the scene, and he died at 3:30 p.m. at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
Kon Ho Yi, 42, of Mission Viejo, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder, Morrill said. The two men apparently knew each other, Morrill said, but a motive for the shooting is still being investigated.
Yi is being held in Orange County Jail, with bail pending.
