2-AA : Whittier Christian Wins Opener, 70-62

Whittier Christian High School defeated Aquinas, 70-62, in the first round of the Southern Section 2-AA basketball playoffs Wednesday night at Whittier Christian.
Scott Ferguson had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Paul McKinley added 19 points and 11 rebounds for Whittier Christian (19-6).
Aquinas ends its season 13-11.
