Francis Parker’s Harris to Play Volleyball at Boise State

Tina Harris, the Coastal League volleyball player of the year from Francis Parker High School, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Boise State.
Harris, a 6-foot outside hitter, helped Francis Parker to the small school state title. She becomes the seventh member from one the San Diego Volleyball Club’s three 18-year-old teams to sign with a NCAA Division I school.
MEN’S TENNIS
San Diego State (3-6) defeated visiting Florida International, 6-1.
Two doubles matches were called because of darkness.
Aztec Tole Marinkovic defeated Marcos Perez, 6-0, 6-7, 6-1, at No. 1 singles and teamed with Joe McDonough to defeat Perez and Mike Marrow, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 1 doubles. Florida International is now 5-3.
SKIING
Justin Wadsworth of La Jolla finished 48th out of 84 finishers in the 15-kilometer classic-style cross country race at the World Nordic Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland. Wadsworth was third out of four U.S. ski team members.
