‘Bomb’ Was Just a Bag

OTTAWA — The U.S. Embassy in Ottawa received a bomb threat Thursday, but all Canada’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police found outside was a plastic grocery bag, which they promptly blasted with a remote-controlled shotgun.
Officers found the remnants of a Bible, other religious books, a pie and a straw crucifix inside the bag.
