Rashone Lewis was dismissed from the Cal State Fullerton basketball team Saturday by Athletic Director Ed Carroll for violating a university regulation, the school announced in a press release.
“I discussed the situation with Coach John Sneed and he concurred with the decision,” Carroll said.
Carroll would not elaborate on the offense, but said that it would be up to Sneed whether Lewis could return next season.
Sneed said it was a “possibility.”
Lewis, a 6-foot-5 sophomore forward, played in all 24 games as a reserve. He was averaging 1.3 points and two rebounds a game.
