Kerry Ware, a student at Saddleback College, has won first place in the annual Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce competition for Orange County college and university artists. A $500 award will be presented to Ware on March 15.
The Proclaimers concert scheduled for March 21 at the Coach House has been canceled because the Scottish duo booked a conflicting engagement on the “Late Night With David Letterman” show, according to the club. Instead, local rock bands the Chant and Rizz will appear.
