Westwood : UCLA Professor Honored

The Martin Luther King Legacy Assn. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference have awarded the Rosa Parks Award to Dr. Gloria Johnson Powell, associate professor of child psychiatry at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital.
Powell received the award in recognition of her pioneering work on physical and sexual abuse of children. She is director of the Family Support Program for Abused Children and Their Families and is medical director of the Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Team at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital.
