Bobby McFerrin will have a chance to add to his four-Grammy laurels. The a cappella pop/jazz singer was nominated for two 1989 Soul Train Music Awards on Thursday. Michael Jackson, Anita Baker, Bobby Brown and the group Guy led the field of nominees with three each. Jackson repeats his 1988 total of nominations with his song “Man in the Mirror,” which is up for awards in the best male R&B;/urban contemporary single, song of the year and best music video categories. The winners will be named April 12 at the Shrine Auditorium. Dionne Warwick, Patti LaBelle and Ahmad Rashad will co-host the live, two-hour syndicated telecast.
