Help for City Center

Azusa has approved a $6-million, 51,000-square-foot commercial and office complex on 3 1/2 acres at Azusa Avenue and Foothill Boulevard that could revitalize the San Gabriel Valley community’s downtown.
De Rosa Properties, Bel-Air, which has completed two smaller projects in Azusa, received approval from the city to build Centennial Square at the intersection.
Robb Steel, Azusa’s redevelopment director, said the project, combined with a 141-unit luxury apartment complex under way and a rehabilitation program for building facades on Azusa Avenue, should encourage other developers to build there.
