Computer & Communications Technology Corp. has completed the previously announced sale of its Zeta Laboratories division to Lucas Aerospace of Reston, Va., for $15.8 million.
Zeta, which makes microwave telecommunications products, has been a source of problems for CCT for more than two years. A previous deal to sell Zeta to Whittaker Corp. fell through after it was learned that Zeta had wrongfully billed customers for defense-related work.
A subsequent settlement paid by CCT to the government and to a shareholder group that filed suit against CCT for alleged securities violations cost the company millions of dollars.
