Moorpark Pounds Citrus in Softball, 15-1

Julie Myers had three hits and drove in three runs to lead visiting Moorpark College to a 15-1 nonconference softball victory over Citrus on Monday.
Moorpark collected 10 of its 17 hits in a 10-run sixth inning that broke the game open. Myers, who also scored two runs, had one of three Moorpark triples. Audra Olive and Rustie Stevens also tripled for the Lady Raiders (14-6, 1-0 in conference play).
Chris Singer hit a home run and had two RBIs for Moorpark. De Dow and Danielle Devan combined to pitch a four-hitter. Devan, who relieved Dow in the third, picked up her first win.
