Local News in Brief : Westminster : Man Killed as Car Strikes Parked Truck

A 33-year-old man was killed Tuesday when his car rammed a parked construction truck in a car-pool area under construction south of the Bolsa Avenue exit on the San Diego Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
The man, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, was from Costa Mesa, said Leslie Hill, a CHP spokeswoman. The man was airlifted by helicopter to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he was pronounced dead at 9:53 a.m., Hill said.
