John Tower’s Rejection by the Senate

Everything I read says the Tower situation is embarrassing and humiliating to President Bush. Wrong! It is both of those things to the Senate Democrats, and their pettiness for sheer political reasons. They are living up to the characteristic of the symbol of their party. It’s a three-letter word beginning with A and ending with S.
