Hazeltine Executive Sentenced: A former executive of the Hazeltine Corp., the first figure in the Pentagon “Ill Wind” corruption probe to face sentencing, was ordered to serve three months in prison for conspiring to defraud the government. Charles Furciniti, 54, also was fined $20,000 and directed to perform 150 hours of community service. Furciniti pleaded guilty Jan. 6 to conspiring to obtain inside Pentagon information to help Hazeltine win a $150-million contract for electronic test equipment. Hazeltine is a subsidiary of St. Louis-based Emerson Electric Co.
