Fraud Case Pleas: Gary Davidson, 37, former quality control manager of Lawrence Engineering & Supply of Burbank, pleaded guilty to one count of making false statements to the government and one count of conspiracy to defraud the government in U.S. District Court in San Jose. Davidson, along with his employer and another Lawrence Engineering employee, were charged with selling substandard nuts and bolts used in the space shuttle, nuclear missiles and commercial jets. Davidson is scheduled to be sentenced June 9. He could receive up to 10 years in jail and up to $10,000 in fines.
