Universal Mack Agrees to Buy 2 Truck Firms

G.I. Industries’ Universal Mack division has tentatively agreed to acquire Murray’s Truck Service in Chatsworth and Roger’s Diesel Service & Sales in Fresno. Murray’s sells trucks and Roger’s repairs them. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
G.I. Industries, which is a publicly held rubbish hauler based in Simi Valley, bought Universal Mack in March. Universal is a Southern California truck distributor with annual sales in excess of $30 million.
