Thomas A. Cooper, the former president of Bank of America, has resigned as chairman and chief executive of INVEST, which offers in-branch brokerage services to banks and savings and loans. Cooper, who joined the Tampa, Fla., firm in 1987 after leaving Bank of America, will remain as a consultant to Kemper Financial Cos., which owns 82% of INVEST.
