Nationa : Teen Plays Rambo, Kills 3 of Family

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — A 16-year-old boy, claiming to be the movie character Rambo, went on a shooting rampage today and killed his parents and younger brother and seriously wounded his sister, police said.

Brian Britton faces second-degree murder charges in the deaths of his parents, Dennis, 44, and Marlene, 42, and his brother, Jason, 8. The shootings occurred about 6 a.m. at the family home. Britton’s sister, Sherry, 17, was in critical condition at Vassar Brothers Hospital.

Poughkeepsie Police Chief Stanley Still said that the boy was wearing military fatigues at the time of his arrest and that investigators found pictures of Rambo displayed on his bedroom wall. He said the shooting apparently erupted over an argument about the boy’s school attendance.
