Chapman Stops Rex Peters, Fullerton

Chapman College defeated Cal State Fullerton, 7-1, and stopped Rex Peters’ 23-game hitting streak in a nonconference baseball game Tuesday at Hart Park in Orange.
Peters went hitless in four at-bats for Fullerton (17-7). His streak is tied for second best in school history. Brent Mayne had a 38-game streak last season.
Chris Catliff had a double and two runs batted in and Jody Garcia had a run-scoring triple to lead Chapman (13-14).

Christ College Irvine 4, Northwest Nazarene 2--Rick Cavazos was two for four with two RBIs to lead host Christ College Irvine. Larry Carder also was two for four for Christ College (3-13-1).
