Elderly Suicide: More Than a Matter of Life and Death
- Share via
The news of Dan Rosenthal’s death in The Times was a shock to me and I am sure to many of his friends. When the Freshman Division curriculum at Harvey Mudd College was developed and started in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, Dan was a very strong supporter of our endeavors. He believed that humanistic studies for engineers was a necessary part of their education and that their successful function in society was dependent upon it. His wisdom, his expert judgments and his good will were available to all of us, and we freely partook of them. My life was enriched by his presence, and I am saddened by his exit.
